CellCAN is looking for an Administrative Technician


CellCAN is a non-profit organization that was created in April 2014 by Canadian researchers who work in regenerative medicine and cellular therapy. Our mission is to mobilize stakeholders and knowledge across Canada to significantly advance regenerative medicine and cell therapy research and clinical development. CellCAN is currently looking for an administrative technician to help us fulfill our mission.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the candidate will support the entire CellCAN team with the following tasks:


• Editing and revising various documents (English and French).
• Posting articles on the CellCAN website (CMS) and on social media (Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook).
• Sending bulk e-mails (e.g., newsletter).
• Creates images for social media content, newsletter and website.

Mail, e-mail and documentation management

• Receive, sort and process mail and electronic mail by preparing the appropriate follow-up and responses, as per instructions.
• Organize and update a filing and archiving system.


• Plan, organize and attend meetings of the board of directors and its sub-committees.
• Draft the minutes
• Prepare and revise different types of documentation for the meetings of the board of directors (invitations, memos, reports, letters, etc.).

Administrative support

• Help with budget follow-up and tracking (fund transfers, invoicing, financial reports, expense reimbursements) and work closely with the financial officer of our host institution.
• Produce reimbursement requests, check them for compliance, and oversee the approval, transmission and filing process.
• Oversee the general organization, procurement and maintenance of inventory.
• Perform data entry and provide support for CellCAN projects (surveys, database, address list, mailing lists, etc.).
• Help the team organize the logistics for projects or special events.
• Perform all administrative procedures according to prevailing standards.

• Strong knowledge of office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Comfort with technology.
• Knowledge of the biomedical research field an asset. 

Employment type: Full time (35 hours)
